Mystery occassion, year and woman (Issue #435)


What is the occassion? What is the year? What us the name of the woman?

Answer: Princess Mary (the Princess Royal) sister of King George VI. In 1964, in her capacity as Colonel in Chief of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, she received an honorary degree from Memorial University and unveiled the Memorial Plaque in the lobby of the Arts and Administration Building, at the ceremony of rededication of the University to include Newfoundland's war dead in World War II as well as World War I.
